N-Butane/Propane Railcar Offloading Vaporizing/Compressor Packages

McKenna Engineering designed and manufactured a complete N-Butane gas Vaporizing / Compressor system. We took a side stream of the liquid, vaporized it into a gas form, compressed the gas, and returned it to the railcar to produce a blanket pressure on the liquid and increase the NPSHA for the terminal transfer pumps. Using a P&ID general arrangement drawings and Solid Works modeling, our experienced team of engineers were able to integrate new processes and equipment into an existing system using both new compressors and existing compressors from the job site. The existing compressors were brought to our fabrication facility where they were disassembled and refurbished by our team of highly skilled technicians; while the third compressor was left at the job site in order to maintain day-to-day operations.Additional components were added to complete the system of skidded packages including; a complete N-Butane/Propane Vaporizer Skidded Package, Qty (6) Inlet Separator & Compressor Packages, and Dearation Tanks for the Transfer Pumps. All packaged systems were pre-piped and pre-wired on skidded base plates which was placed onto an existing cement slab to ensure quick delivery, installation, and startup of the entire system.
